What If the Austin Seven MINI Were a Pair of Glasses?
This project explores the essence of the iconic Austin Seven MINI and reimagines its beloved design in a completely different product: reading glasses.
Through interviews and interactive sessions with members of Cardiff’s MINI Car Club, vintage MINI owners vividly expressed the experience of driving and owning this British racing icon—from the thrill of its compact, sporty design to the occasional maintenance challenges. These stories provided invaluable insight into what makes the Austin Seven MINI so desirable.
The design of the reading glasses aligns with the spirit of the Austin Seven, incorporating key elements that made the car a legend. Like the MINI, the glasses are fun, sporty, and compact—capturing the same timeless appeal in a new form.
